Resource Usage
The Shared Hosting Services provide web space on our servers to allow you to upload pages and files for the purpose of publishing websites.
Shared Hosting includes “unlimited” server space for normal routine non-file-distribution website usage.
For websites that allow downloading of video, audio, or other files, we reserve the right to impose a bandwidth limit of 250GB per calendar month.
Non-file-distribution usage is not affected by any download bandwidth limits.
When using Shared Hosting Services (excluding VPS services), you must not:
- Use more than 10% of the platform’s processing capacity
- Run stand-alone or unattended server-side processes or daemons (including IRCd)
- Run web spiders, crawlers, or indexers
- Run software that interfaces with IRC networks
- Run BitTorrent applications, trackers, or clients
- Participate in file-sharing or peer-to-peer activities
- Operate gaming servers
- Run scheduled tasks outside the control panel
- Give away web space under a domain (including free reseller sites)
- Operate proxy services or remote file hosting services
- Operate self-hosted file sync or cloud storage services (e.g. OwnCloud, Pydio, SparkleShare)
The Hosting Services may not be used as an off-site backup solution. All uploaded files must be web-visible unless required for website operation.
We reserve the right to delete non-web-visible files or directories without notice.
All hosted websites are accessible to search engines unless you actively prevent this. Search engine optimisation must comply with the guidelines of Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other major search engines.
MySQL databases are limited to 1024MB. We will notify you if this limit is reached.
Shared hosting infrastructure is provided through upstream hosting partners. Service limits, platform restrictions, and abuse policies may also be enforced by upstream infrastructure providers where applicable.
